Faith: Trusting your Own Deepest Experience by Sharon Salzberg
Sharon Salzberg, a buddhist teacher, speaks beautifully about the journey of faith, healing, and cultivating peace.
John O’donahue, the late Irish poet and philosopher, weaves beauty and spirituality in a way that is absolutely magnificent. I would also highly recommend his interview with On Being, you can listen to it HERE.
The Art of Stillness by Pico Iyer
A meaningful book, reminding us to slow down and unpack our lives and our stories. To give ourselves permission to sit in silence and open the gifts it provides. You can check out his TED talk from my list HERE.
This is a book that helped me immensely through my own journey of healing, SARK explores and gently encourages us to live with courage and succulence.
Turning the Mind into an Ally by Sakyong Mipham
A really lovely book on meditation from a Shambhala perspective. You can read a passage from the book in my article HERE.
A book of poems about life by Rumi, a 12th century Sufi poet. A lovely book to read over coffee.
The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
Oriah offers us a poem that invites us to expeirence life in a more genuine, intimate way. She shares with us the poem and then shares with us her thoughts about the poem and life itself.
The Power of Vulnerability by Brene Brown
An audio-book that I have listened to over and over again. She inspires you to embrace vulnerability and gives you a plethora of life advice to implement to live a more fulfilling and present life. You can check out her TED talk from my list HERE.
Paulo Coehlo beautifully illustrates a young shepherds journey to follow his dreams. A well known classic that I’ve read throughout different stages of my life, a very inspiring read.
The story of Buddha, a journey of spiritual searching and enlightenment.
The Wisdom of No Escape by Pema Chodron
Pema Chodron, a buddhist nun, pushes us to be present for all of life’s challenges. I would also recommend her book, When Things Fall Apart.
A story about an evolved world where we treat one another with love and respect, very similar to the world that has been described by people after Life Between Lives sessions. It’s an incredible read!
Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
The movie doesn’t hold a flame to Elizabeth Gilbert’s book. It’s full of inspiration, lessons, and life’s wisdom.
