Redwood Forest Rain - Lindy Ariff

Nestled warm in a cabin in the Northern California redwoods, a light forest rain begins to fall, surrendering my soul into its gentle movement, freshness, and grace. And in this moment, redwood forest rain is born.

Redwood Forest Rain Poem:

Fresh Drops
twinkle like stars
over the sea

Nourished Earth,
open, receptive, joyful.
Gentle and soft
A loving hug.

Each drop
transforms
into warm, golden light,
showering the body,
absorbing
a river of golden, silver hues,
a waterfall of energy,
moving, clearing, cleansing entire being.

Feeling the river,
flow down and within body
aware of ancient roots
deeply connected to earth mother below.

In this moment
fully aware that you are a perfect beam of light,
balanced between heavens and the Earth,
a giant redwood,
ancient and wise,
arms reaching tall, sturdy,
embodying the wisdom,
the journey.

Redwood Forest Rain Meditation:

Rain, refreshing and fresh, bringing nourishment and love to the earth, dancing, smell of forest and pine. Redwood forest connected, each redwood rising tall, sturdy and strong. Fresh drops twinkling like stars over the sea, expansive, sound of waves moving, making their journey home to shore, mixing flowing together in perfect balance.

Gentle and soft, weaving, floating, falling watching each drop greet the earth with gentleness, a knowingness, and peace. Soaking in the energy and nourishment like a thirsty sponge, absorbing the freshness and life giving energy- soft, cool, calm, perfectly at ease. Each drop knowing the way, aware of it’s own path, connected to the natural world around you, ancient and wise, bringing nourishment to the open and receptive, joyful Earth. A loving hug.

Watching, noticing, feeling each drop as it sinks in even more deeply than the one before. You begin to notice as each drop begins to transform into a warm, a golden light, showering the body, absorbing a river of golden, silver hues, a waterfall of energy, moving, clearing, cleansing entire being. Top of head, flowing within, down back body, aware of weight of arms, fingers, heart space, belly, hips, feeling the fresh nourishing, healing river flow down to your legs, ankles, bottom of feet nurturing the Earth below, rooted within, deeply connected to this space. In this moment fully aware that you are a perfect of light, perfectly balanced between the heavens and the Earth, a giant redwood, ancient and wise, arms reaching tall, sturdy, fully aware of the wisdom of your journey. Ancient roots perfectly balanced and pure, receiving strength and nourishment deeply rooted in the earth below. Strong powerful, fresh, absorbing and healing, space within perfectly balanced, shining peace and light, radiating from within.

And inhaling ancient redwood, warm radiant, golden light. Inhaling that peace, balance, strength and nourishment. Fresh forest rain, renewing, healing, entire body, fresh and clear. And with that clarity and peace, taking your time returning to your body, for you know you best, when you’re ready, and only when you’re ready, noticing the room around you, lightness in the air, fresh and renewed, peaceful, clear and aware, and when you’re ready coming back here.
